About Beercrafters
Dr. Barley & Mr. Hops had been known to sing the Sumerian Hymn to Ninkasi: "What makes your heart feel wonderful, makes also our heart feel wonderful. Our liver is happy, our heart is joyful. May Ninkasi live together with you." After a few hearty evenings of homebrew, they lit on the idea of sharing their craft and creativity.
In 1993, after a joyful Thanksgiving, BEERCRAFTERS was born. The house of Hops and Barley began creating hoards of new homebrewers, and thrived on their creativity. Sure, it was easy to make recipes that met specific competition guidelines, but our brewers had more imaginative brews in mind. Building beers according to your tastes became our trademark, and continues to this day.
As the volume of tasty brews grew, so did the demand for more hardware, especially draft systems. Dr Barley's imagination went into full tilt, and with it, our Hardware Department. Jeff, the Hardware Guy, now manages our full service line of equipment for serving both homebrewed and commercial draft beer at home. Interesting bars have been built in many of our customers homes, custom fitted with all the bells and whistles.
Shortly, Vini & Fera moved into the neighborhood & introduced Mrs Barley to the ease & simplicity of home winemaking. Home winemaking had always been a tangent to homebrewing, utilizing much of the same equipment and similar principles. We now carry all of the products necessary to see your fresh juice or pressings through to the bottle. Winexpert (formerly Brew King)'s line of premium winemaking products are the mainstay of our winemaking inventory. Their premium kits are the finest available to the home vintner all year round. Mrs. Barley, now our Queen of Everything, has made many of these kits herself, and has been known to share a drop or two.
BEERCRAFTERS has ridden the tides, survived the storms and become South Jersey's Premier Wine & Homebrew Supply Store. In our 1000 sq ft retail store, we offer any wine, beer or mead enthusiast the means to create & serve a high quality craft beverage at home. We carry top quality ingredients & hardware, and offer outstanding service to our customers.
